The Toledo Public Schools Foundation wishes you and your loved ones all the best this holiday season.

One of the greatest American traditions – not just in this special season but throughout the year – is supporting the education of children.  With generous gifts from people like you, the Toledo Public Schools Foundation is providing grants for educators to develop extraordinary learning experiences and scholarships to help exceptional and deserving students continue their education. New funding opportunities include student enrichment and leadership programs and initiatives.

Your tax-deductible gift to the Foundation will allow us to continue enhancing teaching and learning in the Toledo Public Schools.  Please join us in helping the dreams of youth come true.

Ways to Help

ANNUAL FUND

Your help can make the difference, and gifts to the Annual Fund help keep the organization in business.  An individual or corporate gift to the Toledo Public Schools Foundation contributes to the quality of education that our community’s children will receive—today and in the future.  The Foundation is a non-profit organization formed under section 501©(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

Gifts of all amounts make a difference.

SCHOLARSHIPS

With college costs on the rise and an increased need for financial support, scholarships can help students limit their debt at graduation.

Student Scholarship Funds
One-Time Named Scholarship Funds
Named scholarship funds are available in increments of $1,000 or more.  Donor may specify criteria or field of study for a local or out-of-town institution of higher learning or post-secondary school for a TPS graduating senior to be used for first-year tuition expenses.

Endowed Scholarship Funds
Named scholarship funds are available to be endowed in perpetuity.  Minimum donation of an endowed scholarship is $20,000 to be funded within five years.

PROGRAMS

Student Enrichment Opportunities
Student enrichment opportunities touch the lives of students in many ways, offering the tools and self-confidence needed to head out into the world filled with hope and aspiration.  From music classes to special art books to international opportunities to experience other cultures, your donation provides students with opportunities to see the world in a new light and look forward to a bright future engaged in a lifetime of learning.

INITIATIVES

Student Leadership Opportunities
Over the years, Challenge Day has ignited young people’s passions by working with children to set goals they can achieve and then actually achieve their goals in a fun environment.  As a group, students will focus on the core values of honesty, caring, respect, and responsibility during camp activities.  Individually, they’re encouraged to set goals, improve grades, attendance, or behavior at school.  Research shows if you can build a bond with kids, academics and morale rise.

Your donation to Student Challenge Day provides students in our middle schools, which is the best age to reach urban children, an opportunity to experience teamwork at its best in a world beyond their neighborhood.  Student Challenge Day empowers kids with a “can-do” attitude, a strong sense that they can accomplish whatever they set out to.
